The famous Wānaka Tree in winter—a classic New Zealand landscape I had been wanting to photograph for a long time. I waited through near-freezing temperatures for the sun to set, trusting colour would still find the sky. When the moment arrived it lasted only a few minutes before everything went dark, but I managed to catch the tree in that soft pastel light.
